Someday! But when will it happen? Oh, how we long for that day! But we must not sit around,
brooding and daydreaming. We must trustingly place the future in the hands of our faithful Savior and patiently wait. We must
also be busy, "redeeming the time," preparing for the time when the day finally arrives. Will we be ready?
Homemaking
"As
daughters, wives, and mothers, God has given us a special responsibility to love and care for our families. Such things may
include: keeping a tidy home, making healthy meals, finding pretty ways to decorate your home on a small budget, etc.
The woman in Proverbs 31 was busy caring for the needs
of her husband, family, and in the community.
'She looketh well to the ways of her household, and
eateth not the bread of idleness' (Proverbs 31:27). How wise those words are. As it is also said, 'Be not weary in
well doing.' "

In the Kitchen
When we are married, we must know how to - and be
able to - put three tasty, nutritious meals on the table every day. They must appeal not only to the taste buds
and the stomach, but also to the senses of sight, smell, and touch. The menu must fit together and make sense (you don't
often eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, mashed potatoes, and a breakfast omelette in the same meal), but there
must also be a variety of colors, smells, tastes, and textures. No matter how handy and helpful are mothers are
now, they will not be available to tell us what this word means, or how to fix this, or how to triple that recipe, or how long
or at what temperature to cook a certain dish, or what to fix for a certain meal. We must know how to do or decide these
things on our own. Are you ready?
